Frontline psychosocial disability support workers are the people quietly doing some of the most important work in our communities. Their work is complex, relational, and powerful.

Earlier this week Dr Jessica Griffith and I had the privilege of delivering our two-day workshop on Trauma-Informed Psychosocial Disability Support to an incredible team of frontline staff from One Doorway, equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and encouragement to navigate complex presentations like co-occurring borderline personality disorder and neurodevelopmental disability.

When we invest in supporting those on the frontline with the knowledge and practical skills they need, we lay the foundation for safer, more consistent, and evidence-based care.

Dr Griffith and I are excited to continue our collaboration as we work to equip more teams with the practical skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to provide effective support in this highly specialised and often challenging area of practice.
